Rear Skid Structural Mods

Below are some pictures that show how we reinforce all the shock mounting tabs on the rear skid.  We use .065" thick Chromolly to build the tab doublers and weld them in place.  We weld over the stock mounting hole and drill the new hole to the correct dimensions for a closer bolt to hole tolerance.

We perform these reinforcements on every skid that comes through our shop. It doesn't matter if it is a SnoX Race Sled or Cross Country Race Sled the shock mounting tabs get reinforced.
